A Night of Wayfinding: Celebrating Moana at Sydney's Spectacular Special Event

There are movie premieres... and then there are experiences that completely transport you into the world of the film before the opening scene even begins.

Disney's special Sydney event for Moana at ICC Sydney Theatre was exactly that, a vibrant celebration of Polynesian culture, music, storytelling and the magic that has made Moana a beloved favourite around the world.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was electric. The evening was filled with the sounds of traditional Polynesian music, creating an immersive experience that perfectly set the tone for the adventure ahead. Every detail celebrated the heart and spirit of the islands, making it feel like far more than just a movie screening.

One of the biggest highlights of the night was an unforgettable surprise performance by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson of You're Welcome. Hearing the song performed live by Maui himself had the entire theatre cheering, singing along and soaking up every second. And George was grinning ear to ear.

Another incredible moment was having the opportunity to meet Catherine Laga'aia.

We were also lucky enough to attend the Sydney Screening of Moana this week. Moana is a beautiful reminder that our greatest journeys often begin when we trust ourselves. The music, humour and emotional moments had the audience completely captivated, making it easy to see why this story continues to resonate with audiences of all ages.

It was a privilege to be part of such a special evening, and one that I'll remember long after the final credits rolled.
