Behind the Magic: Disney On Ice at Qudos Bank Arena

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into a Disney movie, Disney On Ice brings that magic to life and this year’s show at Qudos Bank Arena was nothing short of spectacular.

From the moment we arrived, there was a sparkle in the air that only Disney can create.

We were lucky enough to head behind the scenes before the show! A true dream come true! We got an up-close look at the iconic costumes and props, from vibrant flower pot costumes to the tiniest details on Olaf's 'In Summer' drink, everything was bursting with colour, glitter, and imagination.

We even got to watch the skaters warm up on the ice, gracefully spinning and gliding as they prepared to bring beloved characters to life.

Then it was time to hit the merch stands!! It's an essential part of any Disney experience! We're Disney on Ice mega fans and Disney snack fans, so popcorn bucket, fairy floss in hand, Evangeline added the Encanto souvenir snow cones cup to her collection!

When the lights dimmed and the music started, the arena erupted in excitement. Mickey and Minnie opened the show with Goofy and Donald, and soon we were swept away into the worlds of Frozen, Moana, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid. Every scene was beautifully choreographed, the skating was flawless, and the crowd were completely enchanted. I was so excited to see the characters and music of Encanto come to life on the ice for the very first time. There’s something truly special about seeing your favourite Disney stories unfold on ice, and this experience will stay with us for a long time.

Whether you’re a lifelong Disney fan or introducing your little ones to the magic, Disney On Ice is pure joy from start to finish.

Tip: Arrive early if you want to explore the merch without the crowds and don’t forget to dress up! There were princesses, Pixar pals, and mouse ears galore.
